GardenStuff by Soluzioni Tirinnanzi Srl has closed a successful reward based crowdfunding round with Kickstarter in 2022, preselling 77 vertical gardens and 105 sensors.
It has now opened a new and larger round of financing on the equity crowdfunding platform Opstart.
The funding is needed to fuel the growth of the IoT multisensor ELIoT powered by artificial intelligence. The results that this industrialized platform is able to produce are outstanding, it is like having your own private analysis lab at your fingertips.
The sensor measures all the parameters relevant for the vegetation of green in general. Such as plants, trees, vegetables, etc. So it measures the following:
- Temperature
- Soil moisture
- Air humidity
- 3 types of light
- pH
- The type of light is relevant to vegetation. Light intensity influences the manufature of plant food, stem length, leaf colour and flowering.
- The pH affects the absorption of nutrients by plants; the substrate pH directly affects nutrient availability in the rhizosphere* and nutrient uptake by plants.
The sensor will communicate with the company's back-office via the App, using AI (artificial intelligence) to make predictions and give advice to the user.
Progress in technology offered by ELIoT comes with the measurement of the potential hydrogen ion concentration (pH), which can be laborious, especially if you want some precision. So, for a consumer product this is a truly outstanding and beneficial feature, not commonly found in green multisensors.

The scale-up has now developed and industrialized the system and resolved all the issues related to the production of a complex product-service-system.
While the new round has the backing of investment funds, the team is open to industrial partners, family offices with experience in the gardening industry and to business angels able to offer a strategic contribution to developing the business.
